As you may or may not know i had some giant tree lily bulbs for mothers day this year and the instructions that came with them were very specific in saying NOT to plant them out until all danger of frosts had past, this leaves me worried that if i leave them in the pots they will just perish over winter, however i have never had any luck storing bulbs over winter. So my question is what would you do? lift and try to overwinter them if so how or try to somehow protect the pots they are in and leave them out, and also i have some gladioli that i put in pots not according to Monty Don on the tv i did it all wrong and should have suffered but as we all know plants will do there own thing and every single one flowerd they were so beautiful, however they were in shallow troughs so i found staking them very hard same question, lift and store or leave and move at the start of next spring?
