I've started. I was so late sowing last year, just before Easter, that this year I've gone the opposite way. Sweet peas were soaked overnight, runner beans the same. I have to get the runners up to about 3 feet tall before I plant them out or the slugs chew the tops. They ignore the slug pellets which I don't like using anyway.
