Date Posted:05/01/2018 10:42:45Copy HTML Well here we are well into January and the weather is looking to get a lot colder again, it rather puts you off wanting to think about the garden, to be honest i am at a loss as to what to do with mine as i seem to have little time to do it and even less time to sit in and enjoy it.
Car been for its MOT this morning and passed, always a good thing especially when its the first MOT since you bought it secondhand. However as the date of the MOT on this one was vastly different from the previous car we had forgot till it was almost time and right after Christmas had been praying nothing bad was in store. I shall definitely remember and put some extra pennies aside for next year haha Every one here back to work or college except me, I am still looking after My MIL who to be honest is getting older and frailer and less sure of her own mind day by day but still with it enough to argue about stuff with you lol Wishing you all a GREAT NEW YEAR filled with only good things xxxxx Sam xx |

Re:Hope you are all well Date Posted:05/01/2018 03:33:03Copy HTML Had an emergency just before Christmas, Ist to local urgent treatment centre with chest pains then a blue light to East Surrey hospital A&E then a blue light to St.Georges, Tooting at 4.30 am yes am! spent the day having tests and waiting for a bed only to be told it was minor and my local clinician would deal with it. Saw my consultant yesterday (I had one hour and a half with him) he claims they have found a way through the dissecting arteries of my aortic system for an angiogram. Today he is consulting with the cardiac supremo at Harefield hospital who is on an exchange visit to East Surrey hospital. St.Georges gave me an early Christmas present of a cough and cold and now my Wisdom tooth is playing up and with my clinical history it has to be done in hospital where I am safe. Happy 2018. |

Re:Hope you are all well Date Posted:06/01/2018 09:04:43Copy HTML Oh gosh Geoff sorry to hear you have troubles again, knowing you though you will fight it all the way and come out on the other side :) It might have seemed overkill at the time but with your history they obviously were taking no chances which can only be a good thing if you ask me. Wishing you well and do keep us updated on how you are feeling xxx

Re:Hope you are all well Date Posted:06/01/2018 09:46:49Copy HTML Thanks for your kind comments CT, my consultant has suggested I have a contrast scan before undertaking an angiogram and will have yearly contrast scans. The good thing is that it is not serious and I feel OK, maybe its angina who knows! My consultant rang me today to let me know that the team from Harefield had a conference about my problem and will come back with a definitive response. They were headed by Mr Jullian Gaer who is an eminent international cardiologist, which gives me some confidence. |

Re:Hope you are all well Date Posted:25/01/2018 10:40:04Copy HTML I've neglected this site for months, sorry, so am sorry to hear pf your health problems Geoff. Heart worries are always frightening its such an important organ and so vital.
I just seem to have got the lurgies - you know, tired, fed up, lethargic, almost but not quiet got a cold and generally longing to see the sun. Honestly the constant rain we've had these last 3 or 4 months has become really depressing, especially following the dismal summer. An attack of the winter blues. aka feeling sorry for myself. Do take care of yourself Geoff. |

Re:Hope you are all well Date Posted:25/01/2018 11:15:16Copy HTML Goodness BB I am so happy to see you posting, I know this site is all but dead but having not seen you post for weeks I was starting to worry, I am glad it is nothing worse than winter blues which I have been feeling myself too moping around and feeling sorry for myself, I have at the moment a chest infection that has been trying since before Christmas and my chest feels like it's going to implode the pain and pressure is horrible not to mention the gubbins I am coughing up :( anyway enough about my tribulations, sending you a big hug and hoping the weather improves soon, it can't be wet and cold for ever surely?
How did the conference go for you Geoff, have they decided on a course of action or are they going to leave well alone and keep an eye on you? hope it is good news whichever way. Hugs to both xx |
