For mothers day this year my 2 youngest are treating me to these out of the Thompson and Morgan catalogue, i saw them in the TV guide and showed them to the youngest so she and her brother have put together and got the white ones and 3 each of 3 coloured ones, my son made me laugh as he did  not want to pay online on his card as he had never heard of the company, i said well they have only been trading since 1855 but i do expect they probably didn't take internet payments in those days, bless him they had paypal so he was ok then :) anyway i hope they do all right, and will keep you updated as they grow

I seem to be losing a lot of posts recently, I thought I'd replied to this.
All I was saying was to make sure your tree lily is sheltered from any strong cold winds because the wind killed mine.

I replied to this a week ago and it has disappeared or maybe I replied on the facebook site.
I first saw these lilies in the Abkhazi garden in Victoria on Vancouver Island. Nearly missed them as the plants were about 12 feet high and the flowers were at the top. Only spotted the flowers when I was wondering were the smell was coming from. Tried growing them but it is too wet and windy here and the bulbs rotted despite my putting a lot of gravel into the planting holes and when the did grow the wind caused the flower heads to snap off.
