Hi Geoff, How are you keeping? Are you taking it easy still or are you able to be more active now as you recover from your latest procedure? I have been busy lately suddenly seem to have loads to do sewing and knitting and such like.We had to put the garden to bed a bit early this year as we have scaffolding up all round the house due to roof works and new soffits and faschia boards etc, plus a roof repair as we were getting rain coming through our daughters ceiling, not good but we caught it quick and managed to put containers under it till a running repair was done. luckily no damage was caused. Now although i hate to to say it we are on the countdown to Christmas although mostly it is a case of handing money over now instead of choosing a gift, no one seems to want anything any more. oh well i am up late tonight got a bit carried away playing a game a friend gave me for the PC lol Take care xx

Good to see your still perusing the board CT.

I am very well but have many other medical problems commensurate with age and my kidney has taken a hammering.

Saturday was the last show of the year at Portsmouth.

I am an active founder member of the British Cactus and Succulent Society and I enter appx. 8 shows per year, and I don't do too bad.

Some pictures are available on the Portsmouth website and also Harrow.

I will post links if people want.

I probably can post pics on the site?

Hope to see some more peeps on the site.

Geoff.

Thought I heard someone calling. I had an opuntia that never flowered, not sure if they do actually, but it eventually got too big for the window sill. It was about 5 foot tall and about 18 inches wide, the width was the problem. Also repotting was a nightmare, used to wrap it in newspaper to be able to handle it, extremely spiky. I donated it to the local University botanical garden. While I'm here I'll post a photo of my palm that flowers and then dies on the flowered shoot.

If you can see the photo the palm id right in the middle and the right side shoot died after flowering last year. This year the other shoot flowered and I'm wondering if that is going to die off
